Community First Bank (CFB) Board Appoints New Board Member

Boscobel, WI (July 14, 2023) – Dan Klahn, President & CEO, is pleased to announce that Kurt Muchow has recently been elected to the Community First Bank Board of Directors.

Kurt has over 40 years of experience at Vierbicher Associates, Inc. serving as a Community Development Consultant to Wisconsin municipalities. During his time at Vierbicher, he was a principal of the firm and served as the Chairman of the Board. He managed both Vierbicher’s Reedsburg, and Prairie du Chien Offices, and was also Director of Business Development. Kurt continues to work part time for Vierbicher as a Community Development Consultant.

“Kurt’s leadership skills and extensive knowledge and experience will be a great asset to the Bank and our markets. He has helped communities throughout the Bank’s footprint with planning and implementation of community development programs. We’re particularly impressed with his acumen in economic development, housing, capital improvements planning, grant writing, and tax incremental financing. The Bank and its Directors look forward to working with Kurt to further the Bank’s mission,” says Dan Klahn.

Kurt is a graduate of Reedsburg High School and has associate degrees in civil engineering and Natural Resources. He holds a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional designation through the National Development Council.

Outside of work, Kurt is involved in many community organizations including the Reedsburg Economic Development Commission, Sauk County Development Corporation, and the Town of Excelsior. Kurt and his wife Jane reside in the Town of Excelsior, they have two grown children, daughter Alissa lives in Sun Prairie, and son Matthew lives in Reedsburg.
